چکیده
In this study, in order to clarify the unknown physical properties of Mg-Al-Th-RE alloy, relationship between injection conditions and internal porosities mechanical exerted by solidification microstructure were investigated. The obtained cast samples investigated using X-ray CT measurements, tensile tests, Vickers hardness tests observations. flow simulation analysis results showed that porosity volume increased as speed increases. higher also affected metal become denser, which leads a material strength hardness. eutectic phases quickly formed because shorter filled cooled time. Therefore, growth primary phase α-Mg was suppressed. On other hand, it considered greatly reduced coarse phase.

EFFECT OF REFINING PROCESS ON POROSITY AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF HIGH PRESSURE AL-SI ALLOY DIE CASTINGS
Abstract: This study presents the research results of effect that refining process has on porosity and mechanical properties of high pressure die castings made of AlSi12S alloy. The operation of refining was carried out in a melting furnace with the use of an FDU Mini Degasser. Mechanical properties (UTS, YS, Elongation, Brinell Hardness) were assessed on samples taken from high pressure die ca...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Die-Cast Nonflammable Mg Alloy
Tensile specimens of nonflammable AZ91D Mg alloy were fabricated in this study via cold chamber die-casting process. Dimensions of tensile specimens were 25mm in length, 4mm in width, and 0.8 or 3.0mm in thickness. Microstructure observation was conducted before and after tensile tests at room temperature. In the die casting process, various injection distances from 150 to 260mm were employed t...

Effects of Casting Speed and Runner Angle on Macrosegregation of Aluminium-Copper Alloy.
Abstract During the solidification of binary metal alloys, chemical heterogeneities at product scale over a long distance range (1cm-1m) develop and this has detrimental effect on the resulting mechanical properties of cast products. Macrosegregation is of great concern to alloy manufacturers and end users as this problem persist. In this study, the use of process parameters namely casting spee...
